4th edition of the international conference on IoT : technologies for humans
Track chairs:

• Samuel Szoniecky (Université Paris 8, France)
The interest in connected objects continues to grow, especially in their exploitation of the resources available on the Internet, as evidenced by numerous publications, conferences, colloquia, journals and books that deal with these issues. In this context of the Internet of Things, we will bring a specific light by focusing our attention on the relationships that humans and these technologies have with each other. We propose to explore these relationships in terms of the design of these technologies and the uses that are made of them to evaluate their industrial, social, ecological, political and ethical impacts.
Scientists, industrialists and students are invited to reflect on the new challenges that IoT presents by demonstrating how these emerging technologies develop new uses that condition human relationships with digital and physical ecosystems and challenge ethical boundaries. These reflections will develop original views both on the techniques put in place and on their impacts on the process in change of our society. The main technological issues will concern sensors, embedded electronics, communication protocols and data security in a major strategic situation. Usage questions will focus on the human factors of human-machine interactions and the positioning of future users at the very heart of the design process of connected objects. Particular attention will be paid to proposals concerning methods of design : design, development, debugging and evaluation of connected objects and services. Ethical issues will concern the changes in the economy and the society, individual freedoms, but also research and creativity.
A selection of best papers will be invited to publish extended versions in form of book chapters under the series Digital Tools & Uses at ISTE & Wiley (indexed by Wiley Online Library).
Accepted authors will be sent the ACM rights management form and complete instructions.
After completing their rights management form, authors will be emailed the correct rights text and bibliographic strip to place within their paper. Please inform authors that they must enter the text into their paper.
• Short and Long Papers
• Workshop
Please use the ACM Master Template to prepare your proposal : https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template
Important: At this first step you are required to submit as anonymous author for peer-reviewing. That is, leave in blank the Author and Affiliation text of the template. If your proposal is accepted, you will then prepare a final version with your full name and contact details.
Please send your proposals via SciencesConf :
https://iotc-2018.sciencesconf.org
All submissions will follow a blind peer-review process. At least two different members of the scientific committee will review each paper. The selection criteria is based on originality, accordance to the theme and topics, scientific/technical contribution, and clarity of presentation.
Authors will receive notification of acceptance on May 18th 2018. If your paper is accepted you will be solicited to prepare the camera-ready version for its publication.
